Multiple award-winning audiobook narrator Scott Brick shared with Voice Actors in the News that he is currently recording narration for an audiobook production of “some fabulous, old-school pulp science fiction” — Edgar Rice Burroughs’ A Princess of Mars, the novel which served as the basis for Disney’s big budget live-action/CGI hybrid epic John Carter (coming to theaters March 9, 2012), directed by Andrew Stanton of Pixar Animation Studios fame.
Tantor Audio will release A Princess of Mars in March 2012 to tie-in with the theatrical debut of John Carter.
Scott says of this production: “There’s just nothing quite like this style of storytelling; it thrills me and leaves me eagerly wanting more. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I am!”
Pre-orders for the 6-disc CD, MP3-CD or audio download of A Princess of Mars are available through TANTOR.COM.
In December 2011, Scott was named “Audiobook Reader of the Year for 2011” on Publishers Weekly’s Listen-Up Awards, and he’s won over 50 of AudioFile Magazine’s Earphones Awards. He also was the recipient of two Audie Awards from the Audio Publishers Association for his narration on Frank Herbert’s Dune saga.
