Even though the press release did say 2011, I tend to believe everyone saying that the show will air in summer of this year. Why would there be a preview this early if the show was going to air next year? In Cartoon Network’s history I don’t seem to recall them airing preview episodes or sneak peeks of shows one year and then airing them the next year, it just doesn’t make that much sense. Plus the summer would be a good time to debut a new show like SD Mystery Inc. because CN would get more viewers that way, especially younger viewers considering traditionally July is right in the middle of summer vacation for a lot of schools.

“David Kaye mentioned that he got to deliver one of the most famous lines in the Scoobyverse”; hmm, considering i’m a huge Scooby fan I bet he got to say “And I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren’t for those meddling kids and their dog”. That would be cool to deliver that line; btw, it sounds like this series is sounding like a modern 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo, at least with the casting. That series had Vincent Price, Susan Blu, Arte Johnson and Howard Morris voicing regular characters; according to this blog post including David, Cree Summer and Maurice Lamarche are mentioned as well; hey, maybe this will be a modern 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo, hopefully it will do better and last longer then the original series did(13 episodes).

@Adam: I updated details in the article regarding when the series may air after receiving a follow-up reply from David Kaye. I also found another source which says the 2011 date mentioned in the press release is believed to be for international markets.

Cool, i’m glad to hear that the series sounds like it will be airing in summer 2010; i’m looking forward to seeeing the show and the preview on Monday. Also, if you remember the 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo series from the 80’s, this series sounds a lot like that show.
