DailyGate.com has a brief interview with Irene Bedard who not only provided the voice of Pocahontas in the 1996 animated Disney film, but also served as the model for the character design.
Bedard has also voiced characters in Higglytown Heroes, Roughnecks: The Starship Troopers Chronicles, The Spectacular Spider-Man, The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest, What’s New Scooby Doo and the video game Turok: Son of Stone.
She and her husband Deni have been performing together as the band Irene Bedard and Deni for 5 years and have released 4 albums of “original contemporary music with traditional Native and American roots.”
