TMZ.com captures candid video in NYC May 19th with Family Guy spinoff The Cleveland Show cast members Mike Henry and Kevin Michael Richardson performing voices of the show’s main characters Cleveland Brown and Cleveland Jr.
It may come as a surprise to many to learn that Henry, who voices Cleveland Brown, is actually a pasty white red-headed dude.
In a FOX promo for The Cleveland Show on YouTube which interviews Seth MacFarlane and Henry, Henry says that he based the voice for Cleveland on someone he met playing basketball from the University of Maryland who pronounced “Maryland” like “Murrlin.” Henry says he imitated the guy for weeks afterwards which led him to pitch the voice to the show’s writers and producers for one of the Family Guy characters when the series was in development.
And here’s another video courtesy of GreaterTalent.com with Henry discussing how he developed the voices for Family Guy characters Cleveland and Herbert.
