Dragon*Con has been promoted for years as “the largest multi-media/pop culture convention….in the universe,” and rightfully so. It’s like 40 (that’s FORTY) fan conventions in one. Literally. It’s a convention fan’s convention. And thousands make the trek to Atlanta, GA every Labor Day weekend for the geek festivities. For 2012, Dragon*Con takes place August 31 – September 3.
Dragon*Con’s Animation Track and Anime/Manga Track in previous years have included as many as 8 guest voice actor panelists — on the same panels, even. Other Fan Tracks include media guests which are more recognized for their live-action TV/film roles but have also voiced characters in animation. For 2012, there are more than a dozen voice actor guests known primarily for their work in animation. And for the first time in 2012, a Puppetry Track has been added, with Muppet performers Peter Linz and Leslie Carrara-Rudolph already announced as guests.
Below is a comprehensive listing of all voice acting-related guests announced for Dragon*Con 2012, and listed according to the most recent guest announcement. (Actual guests for the Animation Track are in ALL CAPS.)

Although primarily recognized for their roles on Star Trek: The Next Generation TV series and films, both Frakes and Dorn have provided voiceovers for a number of other productions, and Dorn in particular has been prolific in animation and video games (StarCraft II, Fallout: New Vegas, Mass Effect 2, Justice League, Duck Dodgers, I M Weasel).
And popular Dragon*ConTV puppet stars Bob & Carl: The Sci-Fi Janitors will be hosting live events throughout the weekend on the Puppetry Track as well.
Voice Actors in the News Publisher Craig Crumpton has served as moderator for Dragon*Con’s voice actor panels since 2010 and will do so again for 2012. In 2011, Craig gave away a Star Wars: Clone Wars helmet (autographed by Tom Kane and Ashley Eckstein) at one of the panels, and plans to give away three whole boxes of swag (including autographed items) from his own geek collection during the weekend.
Previous Dragon*Con voice actor guests include Tom Kenny, Tom Kane, Ashley Eckstein, Richard Epcar, Bob Bergen, Dana Snyder, Carey Means, C. Martin Croker, Kyle Hebert, Mike McFarland, Jackson Public, Doc Hammer, James Urbaniak, Neil Kaplan, Phil LaMarr, John DiMaggio, Billy West, and more than a dozen cast members from Adult Swim’s Squidbillies.
