Actor Donald Faison, who plays surgeon Dr. Christopher Turk on ABC’s dramedy Scrubs says in an interview with the Boston Herald that he was inspired “to pursue [an] interest in stop-motion animation” after voicing characters on Robot Chicken:
[Faison] became passionate about the craft when he performed a voice-over on his buddy Seth Green’s show “Robot Chicken.” He recently turned the gym at his house into a stop-motion animation studio.
“It’s been about a year and a half now that I’ve been practicing hard-core,” he said. “I would love to be a professional one day and create my own project.”
In addition to voicing nearly two dozen characters on Robot Chicken, Fiason has also provided voice-overs for Kim Possible, Higglytown Heroes, Clone High, The Boondocks and American Dad.
